Acupressure for Labor & Delivery - 2/5/09, 4/9/09

Whether your goal is a natural birth or you simply want more tools to help you cope during labor, this class has something for you. In this hands-on class we will cover a variety of acupressure points that you can use for pain relief and to promote labor. Learn how to prepare your body for labor with acupressure massage, which points to use during different stages of labor, and how to use acupressure for specific challenges that can arise during childbirth.

I would definitely say that the acupressure worked for me. During transition the pressure on my shoulders was all that I wanted....I honestly felt a lessening of pain during the contraction when someone was doing that.

I put my newly learned skills pertaining to the nausea points on the forarms to use the very next day during a birth. It worked very well when I did both arms at once as recommended. Leah's class was wonderful. She taught the how's and why's of acupressure points relevant to pregnancy and labor in an accessible and knowledgeable way.
